I'm not normally one to write about my photography, I was asked recently about "faith in chaos". It's a thought I have followed unknowingly for a long time. Best laid plans are an anathema to me.
I have been reminded of a shoot where we had all the elements planned, but at the last minute we discovered we were locked out of the planned location. We reconvened in a nearby bar where there was to be a performance by the talented Luke/Lisa. It turned out to be a fine example of embracing the chaos, as we found wonderful rooms to shoot in above the bar. Never be afraid to follow the non-designated path... you never know what you might discover.
